The 2 bunnies.

Well ladies and gentlemen, thanks for joining me this evening, I thought we'd draw to a close with an appropriate card.

(murmurs of polite/drunk approval)

For those of you a little worse for wear who haven't noticed the obvious flaw in the card above.......it's a birthday card!

Having turned (cough)...29 recently my Auntie Jean decided to combine a late birthday card with a get well soon message AND a menu for Christmas day! Some extra points must be
awarded for making one envelope contain tidings relating to 3 separate events!

Plus memories of classic comedy, 2 men far funnier than I will ever be.

If this floats your boat vote Jean 1.

Well thank you for taking the time to enjoy this evening's proceedings and I look forward to your esteemed opinions.

New entries are very welcome and will be posted as and when they appear.

Goodnight and sweet dreams

Paws for thought

We are nearing the close of this evening's entertainment

(Audience boos and is shushed)

But we still have 2 more fringe entries for you to peruse.

Those of you who know me will realise that I adore cats and am destined to become an old cat lady! Many people would consider this something to be avoided, I think of it as an ambition!

Therefore my dear friends Susi and David sent me a booklet of hand drawn kittens. Meow! It features such treats as "kitten playing with the bunny" and "kitten scratching a large piece of wood"!

So who likes kitty based simplicity? Vote Susi and David 1.

I kneeded this.

So my cybertastic friends, still having fun?

(Performs mini dance move to applause)

Thank you, thank you everyone.

Here I give you Gillian's second entry, and what a wonderful one it is too!

No pun is left unturned. Was she pulling my leg? No, she just to take the (knee) cap for first place : ) And an offer to get my knees fixed on the black market, wonderful, wonderful!

So anyone kneed this one to win? Vote Gillian B2 if you do.

Hello kitty, you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, hey kitty!

Well ladies and gentlemen, we have reached the first interlude in tonight's proceedings.

(Take That sing new song, I rub oil on Robbie's bare chest)

Hello again folks, did you squeeze in a trip to the bar? This evening's proceedings are sponsored by sloe gin, try it, it's spiffing!

Onto another double entry (giggles and winks) from Gillian B.

Now many points must be awarded for home making, exquisite craft skills!

I squealed when I saw this one, a hello kitty kitty! Purrfect! And inside, in a post modern way, a cartoony knee based pun threat! Where do you even find these pictures dearest Gillian?

So who likes Gillian B1, did it make you paws and giggle?

Some daughters do ave 'em

Thanks for staying with me blog fans.

(gives audience a round of applause)

For my next entry I'm keeping it in the family.

I explained this competition to my mother and used the term "You know, perhaps an old fashioned card". Thus she interpreted this in a sideways fashion and sent me a card with 1950's folk on it! Gotta love my mother!

Whilst it is very pretty, it's rather too classy for my liking! But those who have met my mother will know she would hate to stoop below classy!

So who likes Mum 1?

A healing touch.

And swiftly onto Claire's second entry.
(Audience claps appreciatively, I do the quieten down mime)

This one was so shiny it was almost impossible to photograph!

I don't think the photo does it justice, it certainly doesn't show it's best feature, the fact that is completely raised/embossed! Extra points for the excessive use of pink and lilac and the fact that so much space has been afforded to the picture. So much that the font is tiny. For clarity it reads:

A wish to hope you GET WELL QUICKLY and stay healthy forever

Forever, that's very hopeful, I like it's positivity!

So, who likes Claire W2?

Not long for this world.

Hello Cyber Bunnies,

(Puts on awards show announcing voice, grins cheesily, tooth flashes)

Welcome to The Get Well Soon Card Competition of the century.

I shall be asking for your opinions on the entries, think of this as a card based reality blog : )

So without further ado, to the cards.

I would like to give extra credit to Claire W for not only being my first entrant, but for entering twice, in a bid to get into the top 5! This type of commitment is to be admired!

I particularly like the sombre nature of the cheestastic entry above, it even has doves flying in the background! I like to think this one is inferring that I may not make it through the night, but at least it will be peaceful!

Also points shall be awarded based on all this hilarity ensuing for a mere outlay of 59 pence!

I dub this card Claire W1. Let me know what you think.
